A Prefeitura do Rio de Janeiro decretou feriado municipal na próxima quarta-feira, dia 25 de junho, quando Equador e França jogarão às 17h, no Maracanã.
Além da medida, a prefeitura também antecipou em uma hora o fechamento das ruas no entorno do Maracanã, já neste domingo, quando se enfrentam Bélgica e Rússia. A partida começa às 13h. Os primeiros bloqueios começam às 6h, sete horas antes da partida.

A Polícia Militar intensificará o entorno do Maracanã com 600 recrutas, que farão plantão em 12 pontos do estádio, considerados frágeis. Porém, não haverá reforço de policiamento nos portões de entrada de torcedores. No local, é onde muitos torcedores afirmam que há roubo de ingressos.
